OUR HISTORY

HUMBLE ORIGINS

Florida Coast Equipment was founded in 1985 by Dennis Davis. Our story began with a small facility on Military Trail, in Delray Beach, FL, hosting an office, two service bays and parts displays. Operations commenced with Yanmar and Massey Ferguson tractors, just in time for the spring selling season. 

From the very beginning, the team made a commitment to delivering superior customer service and unrivaled product support – a commitment that still rings true to this day – and that commitment established Florida Coast Equipment as a service first organization. Quickly, a third employee was added to assist with sales and administration, and all the right pieces started falling into place. 

BROWARD PALM BEACH

In 1989, we acquired Broward Palm Beach Tractor’s facility in Boynton Beach, Florida,, a former John Deere dealership. The new facility and additional teammates were exactly what we needed to keep Dennis’s dream  of building theworld-class organization it is today. After opening the new location, Florida Coast Equipment saw the opportunity to partner with an innovative new player in the tractor world.

PARTNERSHIP WITH KUBOTA

 Dennis believed that Kubota was the line that FCE needed in order to take the organization to the next level. So, we formed a partnership with Kubota Tractor Corporation, becoming the Southeast’s newest Kubota tractor dealer. 

Since 1990, Kubota has allowed us to serve our communities in a way none of us ever thought possible. Our commitment to superior customer service and unrivaled product paralleled Kubota’s mission to deliver cutting-edge technology, reliability and superior performance. The partnership between Florida Coast Equipment and Kubota Tractor Corporation has been the engine that has pushed us to where we are now.

NAPLES, FL

A BASE OF OPERATIONS

Our next expansion was into Martin County in 2006, just before the great recession hit. Ultimately, we decided to close the Martin County location and move into Ft. Pierce, Florida.

There were no easy decisions during the recession, but the choices made during that challenging period have had a dynamic impact on our business and the community relationships we’ve built. 

The move to Ft. Pierce gave Florida Coast Equipment access to a major market and incredible opportunities. In 2006-2007 we added Jason Watson and Todd Bachman to our family… literally.

A GROWING TEAM

Jason excelled while working in our parts department, eventually being promoted to Vice President, while Todd showed his expertise in marketing and sales.

Under Jason’s watch, our parts department increased sales and formed countless relationships with our customers, a testament to his reputation for quality product support.

Todd joined our sales team and brought energy and dedication to an area that had been yearning for those qualities for a little longer than we’d like to admit.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL

Our Ft. Pierce location continued to be one of the best decisions we ever made, and we opened the Florida Coast Equipment Ft. Pierce service center and showroom in 2017 to meet the demand of our community. With state-of-the-art facilities and our unrivaled customer service, this decision was a no-brainer.

Our journey down the Biscayne Bay continued in 2023 with our newest location opening in Homestead, Florida. Florida Coast Equipment is now even more accessible for communities near the Everglades and the Florida Keys, allowing us to serve them and grow connections in some of the most beautiful locations Florida has to offer. 

We’re planning on further expanding in the construction, agricultural, commercial and rental markets, with over 240 employees dedicated to Florida Coast Equipment’s core principles and to our customers. When you work with Florida Coast Equipment, you work with more than just a dealership.
